Veterans Park at Robson Ranch
Located between the Wildhorse Golf Club and the Robson Ranch Clubhouse, Support Our Troops maintains the Veterans Park. Honoring Robson Ranch Veterans from WWII until present, SOT maintains the park, sells and installs commemorative bricks and orchestrates services on Memorial Day, Veterans Day and other appropriate private memorials.
Please note:
We love maintaining a space for Robson residents to honor their veterans but we are not a veterans' organization. Support Our Troops, Inc. is a proactive, non-profit, non-political, volunteer 501(c)(3) charitable organization that helps provide for the material, physical and emotional needs of our active-duty military personnel at home and abroad. We do not have a list of veterans living at Robson Ranch.

A Living Legacy: The Robson Ranch Veterans Park
The Robson Ranch Veterans Park is more than just a landmark; it’s a heartfelt "thank you" built by our community. Created by the Support Our Troops Committee on land donated by developer and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Ed Robson, the park was officially dedicated on Veterans Day in 2008.
Honoring Our Own
As you walk through the park, you’ll see rows of engraved bricks and 25 benches dedicated to individual veterans and military units. Most of these honors belong to the families of our own Robson Ranch neighbors. These tributes span the entire history of American service—from the Revolutionary War and the Civil War to the World Wars, Vietnam, and the recent missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Stories That Connect Us
If you visit the Club House, you’ll find our Tribute Book. It’s filled with photos and biographies that bring the names in the park to life. The connections you’ll find inside are incredible:
-
Coincidence & Conflict: You’ll read about Union and Confederate soldiers who found themselves at the same Maryland camp years apart, and WWII veterans who supported each other from the shores of Okinawa to the depths of the ocean as Navy Frogmen.
-
The Rare & The Brave: The book honors a Medal of Honor recipient and those who survived the unimaginable as Prisoners of War—including survivors of the Bataan Death March and those held in Soviet camps after WWII.
-
Service Beyond the Battlefield: Some stories take us to the stars. One of our Air Force veterans was set to join the Apollo Program before he was lost in Vietnam, while others served on the recovery ships that brought Mercury and Apollo capsules back to Earth.
-
From History to Hollywood: Our Korean War heroes include members of the “Chosin Few,” and even a veteran from Ottumwa, Iowa—the famous hometown of M.A.S.H.’s Radar O’Reilly.
-
Modern Heroes: You’ll also find the stories of those who served in recent decades, from the crew of the USS Miami to those who documented the first Tomahawk missile launches of Operation Desert Fox.
A Place for Reflection
We invite you to spend some time at the Veterans Park and leaf through the Tribute Book. If you’re worried about stepping on the engraved bricks, please don’t be. As one of our resident veterans beautifully put it:
"The spirits of the Veterans, both dead and alive, are everywhere. They know they aren’t forgotten because you are here."
Take a stroll, read a few names, and help us keep these memories alive.
