“Supporting

Mission
The mission of Support Our Troops is as a pro-active,
non-political volunteer service organization that helps provide for
the material, physical and emotional needs of our military men and women at

maintain a list of other non-profit corporations with a similar mission as
Support Our Troops for consideration by the executive committee and
membership for donations of surplus corporate funds.

Membership
Expectations
- All members are expected to serve on at least one
of the Service Area Committees.
- All members are expected to fully
support the Silent Auction.
Without
fund raising activities much of what we do would not be possible.
- All members are expected to respect the
restrictions we have as a nonprofit corporation in not engaging in
political discourse while conducting any business or activity related to
Support Our Troops. Our men and women in the military serve and
sacrifice no matter which political party is in power.
- All members are expected to promptly pay their
annual dues at the appropriate time each year as determined by the Board
of Directors and Executive Officers.
- All members are expected to be regular in their
attendance at the monthly membership meetings of Support Our Troops
since most business will be conducted at these meetings.
The Nitty Gritty
- Monthly membership meetings of Support Our Troops
are WORKING meetings. All Service Area Committees will conduct their
business during the first part of the monthly membership meeting and the
then make a verbal report to the executive committee during the second
part of the meeting.
- The Service Committees
plan and
propose to the executive
committee how they will accomplish their objectives and purposes; the
executive committee reviews
each Service Committee’s plan,
remands it for adjustment if needed, ultimately APPROVES their
PLAN, and then delegates
volunteer help and financial resources to
enable each Service
Committee to accomplish their objectives and purposes.
The Bottom Line
(Uniting “volunteers” and
“service” together to better accomplish the Support Our Troops Mission)
Take a moment to
contemplate the incredible sacrifice and service of all the members of our
military. Relatives of some who live here at Robson Ranch have even made the
“ultimate sacrifice” so that we, our children and grandchildren can live a
life of freedom in the greatest nation ever founded. Surely, there is
something that each of us can do to repay and support those who sacrifice so
much for us. Support Our Troops offers that opportunity to any individual
who not only wants to “volunteer” but “serve” by working to fulfill our
mission.
